Went to the Dr. today and had a good visit. An extensive ultrasound showed that everything is progressing nicely - the two hemispheres in the brain, the four chambers of the heart, the two kidneys, the various components of the spine, the hands have 5 fingers and the tooties have toes. We did not inquire about the sex, but could have found out at this point. The baby's heart rate was 158 - high for this stage of development. He was very active and moving around a lot during the exam. In general he kicks and moves the most in the morning as I am driving to work or when I first sit at my desk, and in the evening after dinner while we are relaxing and watching TV. Daddy Eddie can feel his kicks and likes to rub the belly!
